Empress Codes: Feminine Wisdom, Dreams and Sacred Springs

What if the doubt you feel about your own intuition was handed to you in a fairy tale?

I've been living with that question ever since the Empress Codes first came to me in dreams.

For a long time I dreamt of Mary Magdalene and even her dragons. She showed me ideas and transmissions, and I was taken into springs and wells and old churches, sacred places I would later visit and stand in for real. Each time I came back holding a new thread. I didn't always understand it yet, but I knew I needed to follow it.

The dragons were with me through all of it, and they began to show me a deeper lens. I'd always felt their connection to the cosmos. Then they took me down into the earth, into the primordial earth, and I understood that this primordial earth wisdom is feminine.

That wisdom has been held in stories all around the world, stories told to keep the lineage alive. The swan priestesses, the mermaids, the dragon legends and the women of the wells all belong to the rose path of the feminine, and they are all tending the same story.

Stories change as they're passed down, though, and the stories of the feminine changed more than most. Over time they became distorted, and many were suppressed altogether. There was a time when the healers, the witches, the herbalists and the midwives held that deeper wisdom and shared it freely. Then they no longer could. Their stories were rewritten, and what they knew went quiet.

Those distortions and wounds still live in us as women today. I see it in how disconnected we can feel from our intuition, and how quickly we wonder whether it's just our imagination. I see it in so many other parts of life too, in the way we hold ourselves back and the way we show up. That pause before we trust ourselves was taught, a very long time ago.

The Empress Codes is the way I've been shown to work with this. Over fourteen months we walk through fourteen temples and meet fourteen faces of the feminine, archetypal women like the Mystic, the Mother, the Witch and the Dark Goddess. We come to know each of them through astrology, the tarot, numerology and human design, and each of these becomes a way of coming to know ourselves.

As we sit with each archetype, we pull her threads through into our own lives. We see where her story repeats itself in ours, and we notice what's being shown to us. Slowly those threads come together, and we gather them all in wholeness as the Empress.

This is slow, immersive work, and I want it to be. Each archetype is given a whole month. She arrives on the 17th with her transmission and her stories, and then there's time simply to be with her, mindfully noticing where she appears in your days. Around the start of the next month we gather in ceremony at the Wisdom Well. That circle came from another dream, of women around a well, each drawing from the depth of her own wisdom. Afterwards there's a rose practice and a spread created just for her, so you can keep going deeper. Something lands and you live with it for a while, and when you return there's another layer waiting.

The Empress Codes is one of the five codes of the Shamanic Dragon Priestess Initiation. Each code is a doorway into the same root, the Sophianic Spiral of the Dragon Rose. You can walk the Empress Codes on its own, or as the beginning of the wider initiation if that's where you feel called.
